What is a Bull Market?

This refers to a period when the overall prices of cryptocurrencies experience a sustained upward trend, i.e., when the prices increase over some time.

During the bull market, investor confidence is high, increasing buying activity, which drives prices even higher. Prices can be fueled by positive news, growing adoptions, or increased interest from institutional investors (banks, countries, etc.).

Overall, traders and investors are optimistic and excited as they anticipate further gains. The fear and greed index is in the green with a high greed.

Notes about navigating the market

Crypto Cycle

From the beginning of the first cycle in 2013 until the end of the bear market in 2022, Bitcoin’s market cycle remained consistent, which can be summarized into four phases: Bear, Accumulation, Halving, and Bull.

Typically, most investors track the cycles based on the halving years, which they consider the first phase of the crypto cycle. However, for best practices, we will consider the bear market the first phase of the crypto cycle. Why? because this is a period when we should be entirely out of the market except for long-term investments such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. This is the time that we plan.
